What We’re Snacking On: Team Taste Test Roundup #1

Here at Skout, we live and breathe snacks. And while we’re incredibly proud of our own bars and cookies, we’re also just huge snack people in general. That’s why we kicked off a new internal series (that we’re now sharing with you!) called “What We’re Snacking On.”

Each week, our team tries a new better-for-you snack brand—products we’ve been eyeing, new launches, or just plain intriguing items on our radar. We gather around, dig in, and give our honest feedback—then average out the rankings across the team to give you a score out of 10.

We’re all about transparency, real food, and having fun with it—so here’s a look at the first three snacks we tried!

Team Score: 7/10

Nufs Hot Honey Crackers

Our first snack session kicked off with a spicy-sweet bang thanks to Nufs Hot Honey Crackers. These gluten-free, grain-free crackers are made with almond flour and seasoned with real hot honey flavor. The consensus on just how spicy there were varied, but the balance of sweet heat won us over.

Verdict: "Salty at the beginning with a good kick at the end". If you’re a sweet-and-spicy snacker, these are worth a try.

Team Score: 7/10

Sweet Deliverance Sour Cherry & Pistachio Rose Granola

This granola sounded fancy—and it absolutely delivered on flavor. Tart dried cherries brought a punch of brightness, balanced out by buttery pistachios and a subtle floral note from the rose. The clusters were big, chewy, and not too sweet (which we liked).

Verdict: "It's sweet, it's cluster-y, it's nutty". A unique granola with major cool-mom vibes.

Team Score: 9/10

Mission Meats Meat Sticks

Let’s just say: these were a hit. Simple ingredients, clean protein, and seriously delicious. These beef sticks are grass-fed, minimally processed, and packed with flavor. We tried everything from the original flavor to their new Cracked Pepper Pork Stick, and nearly everyone asked to take extras for the road.

Verdict: "They're not oily, just really really nicely spiced with a great texture."
