“Growing up on the coast of Maine, sea kayaking became a convenient and positive outlet for my juvenile energy.  I soon recognized the cathartic nature only afforded from the seat of a kayak and decided to expand my scope of the kayaking medium in the form of whitewater kayaking.  Recognizing that kayaking was my future, I became an instructor and noticed numerous opportunities around the country and the globe to continue honing my skills. Therefore, I moved to beautiful Jackson, WY after college and became enamored with the abundance of year round outdoor pursuits accessible mere minutes from my door. Now I can be found kayaking in the Rockies and PNW when the water is up, skiing the biggest lines I can find in the winter and sharing these experiences with my dog, Zen. I'm always looking for an adventure and excited to develop new skills in any discipline. “

Why Skout: Skout bars fit wonderfully in my PFD and my touring pack. They give me the pick me up I need to stay focused and energetic. I'm stoked on these bars.

Fav. Product: I’m a fan of most flavors that Skout makes but the Dark Chocolate and Pink Salt bars are my favorite. I appreciate the wonderful flavor without the sugary sweetness usually affiliated with protein/energy bars.
