I have been a Registered Dietitian for over nineteen years, the first seven years in a clinical setting the last twelve working specifically with the HIV population first in home care and now in an outpatient clinic. I also have a small private practice in New York City where I see a variety of patients with many different nutrition issues.

I am also passionate about a holistic approach to a healthy and balanced diet and lifestyle and have studied Ayurveda obtaining certification through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a Certified Holistic Health Counselor. My interest in overall wellness could not be complete without an interested in physical health and in addition to practicing nutrition I am also a certified Personal Trainer and Group exercise instructor. I am certified in Pilates Mat, Bosu Ball and  Spinning with over sixteen years experience in the fitness and wellness industry.

Prior to starting my nutrition career, I was in the garment industry and worked over ten years doing computer aided textile design.

Currently I serve as the Public Policy Representative for Medical Nutrition Practice Group.

Here in New York  I am the Co-Chair for the Nutritionist in AIDS Care special interest group for the Greater New York Dietetic Association, previously secretary and House of Delegate Representative for the Infectious Disease Practice Group.

I am also a group exercise instructor-most often spinning or total body conditioning. I have completed several half marathons and one NYC marathon. For the past 14 I have been an avid cyclist and have ridden in six AIDS rides. And I have been practicing yoga for fifteen years. My focus in guiding other to be the best they can be mentally, physically & obtaining the best nutrition they can.
